| The
far-reaching goal for project is to improve the water management in
Latvia by preparing modern Daugava River Basin Management Plan and
proposals for realization that, as well as to get knowledge and
experience, which will be possible to use in management plans for other
river basins in Latvia.

| The
essence of the project is “learning by doing” – a mix of training
and practical work done by Latvian specialists – while elaborating the
Daugava River Basin Management Plan. Involving of many different target
groups in this process are essential too. |
